3. I don't understand the second question. How will it profit the media's owners to report this?

I mean, it would be nice if they reported this, but it would be nice if they created world peace and found everyone's lost kitten too.

But, in the real world, it's their job to not report this. You can either change the military so it doesn't happen, or change capitalism so that we can have reporters again.
