Reading that post, the profanity spoke louder than anything else to me.

I'm not happy about the ACA (possibly better than nothing). The reason it passed and Single Payer wasn't considered was that health insurance and health provider interests control Congress. Same deal with other special interests preventing progress on other issues. Any member who bucks them will do it with the assurance of a big money attack against them in their next election. Sherrod Brown and Bernie Sanders are in their cross hairs now. The only way to counter that is for voters who care to get behind good candidates who will fight for Single Payer and the other people interests. That means contributing money and working for them. No good candidate? Find one or run yourself.
I don't take any PAC money nor any large donations. So, I end up funding much of my campaign myself. But, I am not controlled by special interests.
I just bought 40,000 campaign cards for $1153.. I can't afford to mail them. So, we'll walk the district and drop them at the 38,000 doors. I'll have some help. But, I'll probably do 20,000 doors myself. That's the month of May. I'll do it again in October.

I hear from talkers all the time. With very few exceptions, they are not to be found when it comes time to do anything. How many of you actually do anything about this problem? It's not my problem. I'm 69 years old. My problems will be over fairly soon. It's our problem. Posting on a blog doesn't count for anything.

Normally, I don't go to blogs like this. I just happened onto this one this morning. I don't see much reason to be back.
