Thank goodness I live in a blue state where we are still holding onto a narrow majority to stop the GOP from running our state like this.

It doesn't help to have people taking a crap on the Democrats who are doing their best and taking the abuse from the GOP here, up close and personal in floor battle in the legislatures.

When they hear this defeatist rhetoric, they wonder if anyone believes in single payer, the social safety net or any of it anymore. They feel that they're trying to preserve something that people don't want, really.

And looking at this thread, I see the victory of GOP propaganda, the 'all the parties are the same' mantra. Really?

What percentage of Democrats participate in the war on women, want to eliminate Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, which is what these people would receive in another state to help them?

Giving in to that way of thinking gives the GOP more power to enforce Libertarian policies such as TN is suffering under, and never help to elect anyone to change it. Sitting back and criticizing is what is being done to Obama, and it's mostly GOP candidates and officials and media doing that, not the hard working elected officials I know in the field of battle right now.

I appreciate your running for office Bill, but you gotta wonder with comments like this, does anyone have your back here?
