has an excellent reputation in US academia. I say this because I have read his books and recently been a grad student @ UMd.

As for Shekhovtsov, he is still doing graduate studies. He is definitely of the far, far, far right so it's definitely in his interest to defend the Ukraine coup' s ideological sources, the ones that Stephen Cohen fears. I say that his interests are with the far right because here is a list of his (from his webpage) research interests/published works - all about far right/fascism/white nationalist political movements in Europe.
