1. Is anyone really daft enough to think this isn't exactly what Dems do as well?

Now don't misunderstand the general refusal to do anything but say "no" isn't what I'm talking about, but surely both (nay all) sides have meetings to strategize about how to thwart the opposition. I've not recalled seeing it then implemented as well as it has the past 3+ years, but Obama has made most of that pretty easy in that he has tried too hard and too soon to cede the middle ground.
