He's an apologist for the thugs. He tows the line of the false equivalency of "both sides do it". One side has had the majority in the house and enough of a hold in the senate as to render a simple majority as not enough to get legislation passed--you need a super-majority of 60 votes to get anything passed. So there is no such things as "both sides do it". It is a made up fantasy by apologists.
