Malloy refers to a recent article by critically acclaimed (accolades are mentioned here) film-maker, writer John Pilger on the rise of fascism. Here's a link to one of Pilger's most recent writings on the subject, likely the one Malloy refers to. I'm going to repost this under good reads.
