developing nuclear weapons, maybe even more nuclear energy, I would guess. That permits Iran to focus on its economic development and improves its international reputation.

The primary downside is that this agreement has to be carefully enforced. There may be, probably will be, disputes about whether the agreement is being violated. Further, the US and other countries have to get their own legislatures and countries to agree to support the agreement and to actually support it over many years.

It seems good at this point. But we shall see. There are factions not just in our government but in the Iranian government that don't want peace between Iran and the US and other countries that negotiated the agreement.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

We shall see.
