In western and northern Europe education is highly valued and affordable; social services and safety net security, and health care systems are also important to the health and welfare of the people. It's more egalitarian and people share pride in their culture, heritage and citizenry.
European countries also have a variety of POLITICAL PARTIES unlike the US with it's two dominant political parties. Germany has 4 or 5 main political groups which is a healthier and more diverse system than the US.
It's a different and some ways better lifestyle and existence than in the US. But few Americans know the realities, or are scared by ignorant propaganda which is truly unfortunate.
