If Ed Schultz can't get ratings on such a network, they're going to look for a replacement. It's not like he's in a time slot where he's up against liberal shows on the other networks. If the on-air talent around him on MSNBC have decent ratings and his ratings aren't good, it means that the basically liberal audience is tuning him out.
Look, I like Big Ed. We're the same age and everything. I relate to him. But TV is a business, and businesses do what's good for their bottom line.
Now, MSNBC canning Phil Donahue when he had the highest rated show on the network? THAT was cowardice and a sop to the powers that were who wanted anyone questioning the lies taking us into Iraq off the air, and pronto.
