9. Peter Green is considered to be one of the best blues guitarists ever...

by many professional guitar players. He replaced Clapton in John Mayall's Blues Breakers when Clapton left to start Cream. Eventually he left John Mayall's band taking Mick Fleetwood & John McVie (drums & bass) and the result became Fleetwood Mac.

This was before the ladies joined the group. Peter Green has an interesting and sad story and is well worth exploring for his music and life story.
