I don't think walling up the dog was intentional. The dog was probably denning up in this new little cave under the stairs. It was scared by the workers who came to fill in the hole. They probably never even checked in the hollow under the stairs, so they filled it in -and were on to the next project. Good for these guys to continue to find the answer to the dog noises.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how people on DU can jump to the worst conclusions -immediately! Life is usually not black and white -that includes politics (and dog stories). We should all check our knee jerks and tendency to "group think". Thanks for posting the heart warming video. I'm partial to yellow labs. That's what we have.
