Intrade is a type of futures market for any event that hasn't happened yet. You but futures in the event that you believe will happen. As the event become more or less likely the value of your shares rises or falls in value. It has a very good track record of being right on its predictions because it harnesses the wisdom of millions of people, especially as the event gets closer in time.
