I remember seeing this clipiin 2008 and thinking that, although I usually agreed with Keith, he was in this instance overreacting.

It's not uncommon for someone to remember a date by fixing it to something else. When does California hold its primary? Well, RFK was shot in June, and it was in Los Angeles on the night of the California primary. That's how she remembered that California votes in June. It's open to the problem that California might have changed its date between 1968 and 1992, but, in fact, it didn't, so her mnemonic worked.
