7. My take - but correct me if I'm wrong

because I haven't followed this issue

The anti-vaxxers roots are in the preservative used in vaccines and flu shots
from the mid-80s on - thimerosol

Prior to that some flu vaccines were without preservative as they were refridgerated
which was expensive

It was also used in contact lens solutions for awhile

I was sensitive to flu shots, and had other mercury sources and issues
so I ditched flu shots for almost 20 years

Now they have largely or entirely removed the mercury based preservative

I got my first flu shot last winter, first in 14 years, and second in 22

I had no adverse reaction from it. No pain, no fever, no malaise, no aches

I'm not supportive of the anti-vax crowd, that is very irresponsible

but I'm glad they've acted to reduce mercury, and there must be a scientific
reason why they did it.
