The gun doesn't have any meaning other than that ascribed to it. And I certainly understand people who really don't give a damn about who gets hurt as long as they are promoting their agenda, whether it be a supporter of the real estate swindler or some anti-gun supporter. Nothing new there. Been hearing it for a long time.

The point is, that criminal isn't gonna change. She has a right to make damn sure he keeps his hands to himself, with the force she needs to equalize their differences if any.

You are correct, guns don't solve problems. But they often end a threat. No question - she should use her brain first. Period. But the moment he touches her against her will, treats her like trash, the intellectual part of the exercise may well be over. Because it will happen again, and it will get worse, until it is stopped.

We all have our own ways of dealing with these things. Ymmv, and that's fine.
