This could be a forum where people actually take the time to reason some stuff out, at least every now and then.

It's a lot more work (big time... that post certainly was - whew...) than cheerleading for your favorite positions (or candidates...) or taking cheap shots at others'. But if all we do is pick sides, throw shit at the others and see what sticks, we're just a bunch of 10-year-olds at recess.

Since that's a pretty apt description of the Republican nomination process this year (except that even the worst 10-year-olds on the playground rarely sink so low), I figure maybe we might be able to do a bit better. Probably. OK, maybe, say, once a month. Well, a guy can dream .
