For literally months, we've been regaled by Sanders supporters' (and also the hate-filled Bernie-bros'), proclamations that he was absolutely destroying Clinton in terms of popularity. And yet, here we are.

Further, you seem to forget that President Clinton signed on to most of what you disagree with, under duress - veto proof majorities in favor of much worse versions of those initiatives. You also seem to forget that Clinton was very much the turning point in turning around Democrats' electoral prospects. We hadn't had a two full term Democrat in office in this country since Harry Truman.

Maybe with that Texas flag you can understand that there are more than just liberal Democrats in the United States. But no, I don't think going back to being the perpetual losing party in this country is a good idea. And Sanders would get absolutely killed in the general.
