36. Our two-party system is broken

Having visited other countries who have coalition governments, I wonder why we are still saddled with an antiquated system where our two parties -- which are morphing into variations on a theme (thanks to SCOTUS on their Citizens United decree) -- drag us down into gutter politics.
The Founding Parents are surely turning in their graves over how their vision of a strong republic has devolved into a bastardization of the Golden Rule: s/he who has the gold rules.
That's why I support the Bernie Sanders revolution. Until we get big money out of our political system, we condemn ourselves to the feedback loop of one shitty party or the other. Each pandering to its own "base" and otherwise selling their souls -- and our collective fate -- to the highest bidder.
