acts and worse across the nation, and if they were in fact doing so much of this that it led to this, there would be a huge epidemic of the side effects, such as dying.

Yet tens of thousands go on to retire. Those facts don't fit together. There is far too much violence to be explained away with a drug.

It happens, (I was in a place - medical - to see it for years, and it does occur, but not as much as one might think), but it is more of a distraction than an explanation in the vast majority of cases.

Police would rather be called drug-abusers than racist bullies, bigots, or simply thugs, but absent the other excuses, that's what they are, and it disrespects their victims to say otherwise. It also prevents us from fixing the real problems. Ferguson, MO for example.
