in the House from 2007 to 2011, under both GW Bush and Barack Obama. I know republicans cheat and gerrymander their districts, but if Democrats would actually turn out the vote, there is a good chance we can take back both the House and the Senate.

Republicans don't sit back and whine, they vote religiously every election. Democrats tend to get political in dramatic spurts, but if they don't have an inspiring candidate, they often take a "why bother" attitude. This is true especially of young voters. I know, I was a young voter once.
