(8,175 posts)This should absolutely be allowed here. It has nothing to do with the election. The election is about Hillary versus Trump, and this democratic party decision is not going to change that.
Please don't shut this down. We need to know what our party stands for or against. We need to know so we can try to shape it the way we want it, now, while they are putting the platform together.
If they won't vote in $15, what will they vote in? Will someone else present a lower number that is still better than what we have now? Hillary wanted to push for $12. Can we get $12? Remember this is a federal minimum. States and cities can still choose to go higher (as some already have). We need a better federal minimum than what we have now. Can't we all agree on that?
Why are they doing this now? I thought this would be done at, or after the convention.
Yes, we need to know who voted and how. We need to know who to fight for, as elections are coming up.
