22. Stephen Moore on Economy

I don't know why Democrats work from the angle of trying to convince people like Steve Moore, that the Economy is good. Instead, they should answer "Whatever is wrong with this economy is a result of nearly 400 filibusters by Republicans. Democrats have literally submitted hundreds of bills to fix the economy, that Republicans stopped, just as Mitch McConnell said, to make Obama's a failed presidency." "To whatever degree the economy is failing, however much poverty there remains, is directly the cause of Republican inaction."

You can't well defend the economy, and comparing it to its worst point, 2008, is nearly moronic--a statistical bamboozle. Yes, we've made mild gains, and certainly it has improved from the "Great Recession" as it is called. But weaknesses still abound. We've got manufacturing still leaving, and robotics are coming at us at breakneck speed, we need to deal with.

A new paradigm is needed--a UBI (universal basic income).
