5. Iowa doesn't matter- but only sort of

If Ron Paul wins, it gives him a bump but he doesn't have the big money backers and he still has Newt and Perry and Romney to deal with.

If Santorum wins (really? come on!) then yeah Iowa has gone off the rails or the rethugs have rigged the system. What a puff piece this guy has been on in the past week!

Winning Iowa didn't help Huckabee enough to win it all. It helped Obama and Hillary, though. I think Iowa Democratic voters are more centrist/left of center and more aligned with regular Americans than Iowa Republicans. Iowa Republicans are either lunatics or so damn cynical they wouldn't lead a dog to water even if the dog had just run in the desert.

To summarize, Iowa doesn't matter if you a Rethugican. Iowa does matter if you're a Democrat.
