6. really bummed about "The Major"

GITS was my first anime. My kiddo mind was blown by the series and manga. Here is a main character who is not cis, who owns her sexuality, her power, her intelligence. She is defined by her actions, her capability, her strength and agency. For a young, gender non-conforming, closeted bi kid... Motoko Kusinagi was my hero.

To see her identity stripped away, diluted down, her VERY NAME taken from her.. wtf, Hollywood? Based on the previews I forced myself to watch on The MarySue, the "they stole your life!" plotline they are going for is ironic in the worst possible way.

I would have paid through the teeth to see this done well on the big screen. I'm not even gonna bother watching this sh*t torrented ~_~
