There is a wealthy man who owns a pillow factory and who is also a liberal. I've seen his TED talk videos posted here. I can't remember his name. He is of the opinion that if you don't treat workers fairly they are eventually going to come for you, meaning the rich people. Paying his workers a fair wage and benefits package is simply good business in his view.

Unfortunately, he is in a very small minority. Those who run the corporations probably should heed his warning...though, I doubt they will.
