It's simply the product of theft, of violation of the Constitution. This whole theater is just appalling for all these reasons you suggest. No officer of the court (lawyer or judge) with any ethics whatsoever would participate in "trafficing/receiving in stolen property," which this clearly is. Gorsuch's complicitcy seems in and of itself a disbarrable offense.
Not a lawyer but it seems to me any future case decided by the Supreme Court 5-4 Repub could be somehow vulnerable for nullification as one of the deciding judges gained his seat illegitimately. And yes, I wondered yesterday too, while watching Gorsuch qvell and preen and pontificate, how could any lawyer/judge with even a minimal ethical character participate in this crime, much less be the beneficiary?
And now, with the FBI making public that the election itself and the Trump campaign are under investigate for connex/coordination with a hostile foreign power..good grief, these are confirmation hearings for a lifetime appointment without any future recourse ...this whole process needs to be suspended immediately.
Yes, how in the world can Gorsuch calls himself a legal/judge with ethics yet support a self-avowed sexual predator, a judicial opening that is the product of unconstitutional theft and now an administration that is under FBI investigation for winning the election through treason.
