I know we're a big tent, but we shouldn't allow the tent to be brought down on us. I think it's time to realize this is alienating a lot of people.

I'm fine with party in-fighting on issues, but when we allow criticism from the outside to narrow our agenda and ignore the base, I think it's very counterproductive.

What is the "working class" anyway? Does this term even have relevance anymore in this changed world, in which the nature of work itself has changed so dramatically? The working class of women and African Americans and Latinos has been pained for decades; it seems like we're only talking about white male factory workers here. Join the crowd, boys. Cause we're not going back to the days of isolationism and barefoot, pregnant helpmeets.
