I've been on it for nine years now: you see, I said at a party I attended in 2008 that I really liked the movie Signs, which of course featured Mel Gibson in the lead role.. The very nice AIPAC representative who showed up at my door the next morning told me that, had I made such a comment before Gibson's idiotic anti-Semitic rant to that Jewish cop had been made public, I'd have been fine. But since I had praised the film after that, the organization had no choice but to monitor my activities, both online and offline, from that point forward.

As I said, she was very cordial, and I understood why I was placed on the list.
