In the US, the banksters not only did not flee, but they have actually consolidated more power. Obama didn't do anything to stop this in his first term, nor will he in his presumptive 2nd. In fact, he played his roll as instructed to push the agenda along, with the aid of his giving left-cover and a smiley face to the encroaching corporate fascism. As for Rmoney, should that hollow man amongst hollow men gain the lever of power, the enveloping of neo-feudalism will be even worse and more rapid.

If the American people don't like it, they have nowhere to turn, except into the teeth of a paramilitary police state armed with a thousand types of shiny new toys of repression (legal ones, mass-psychological ones, human ones, and scientific/physical ones) all field-tested in America's global empiric war theatres.

Or perhaps they really can be bought off and self-imprisoned with just 200 cable telly channels, GMO-infused fast food, and the cheap, hops-flavoured carbonated piss-water that passes for beer there.
