even though their audience tilts rather left, i understand that they still try to poke fun at the left as well.

fine, i have no problem with that (ignoring that the studio audience clearly prefers the jokes at the expense of the right over the jokes at the expense of the left....)

but if it was worth pointing out that warren had made a claim for which she had no proof, how the hell do they justify using this moment to run that story? donnie explicitly made the charge against warren during campaign speeches, fine, address it at that point *when that was the point*.

donnie bringing it up now had everything to do with bigotry. he brought up warren and his favorite insult against warren for the sole reason that he was honoring (well, *supposed* to be honoring) some native americans, and therefore his bigoted brain immediately jumps to warren.

was there a great strategic political need to take warren down a notch?

no, it's just donnie being a bigot, not only insulting warren, but also insulting the honorees standing right next to him, as well as many other americans at the same time.

but such displays of bigotry burnish his image of being a bigot's idea of a great president....


and for some reason the daily show decided inexplicably to let donnie get a clear win on this one.
