First, humans have been inserting genes into food for thousands of years, since the beginning of agriculture and animal husbandry. Nothing we eat is not genetically modified. None of it. Further, nature inserts genes through natural processes. Organic foods include those with forced mutations, both by chemical and radiation. You share 60% of your genes with a Cavendish banana.
