That's their standard talking point. That Clinton paid Christopher Steele to talk to Russians, to see if they had any dirt on Trump.

That's (somewhat) true, but there's one thing they always fail to mention. They always fail to mention that the Russians who helped Trump are all doing very well at the moment, while the Russians who talked to Christopher Steele are all DEAD now. From that, I think we can surmise which group of Russians were doing Putin's bidding.
