What's unfair?

A. Playing your own words back to you to highlight what a fucking HYPOCRITE you are? Or...

B. Playing your own words back to highlight what a hypocrite you are WHILE YOU'RE STILL IN THE STUDIO?

Interesting question, because we all know that Republicans have perfected the art of shameless hypocrisy to a SCIENCE! Ten years of The DAILY SHOW have proven that. But, due to some weird, half-assed, pathetic 'gentleman's agreement,' the media seems to have agreed never to do that while they're still in the STUDIO.

They'll interview a Republican one day, and let him lie his ass off. Then the NEXT day they'll show an earlier clip where he's saying the exact opposite, and say "oh, look at the hypocrisy." But it doesn't matter, because the chickenshit interviewer doesn't have to call him a hypocrite TO HIS FACE, and watch him squirm. That would be most awkward, wouldn't it?

More importantly, they never play examples of hypocrisy while the guy is still there, because all of the guy's SUPPORTERS are WATCHING while he's there. The next day, none of his supporters will be watching. Therefore, if the goal was to highlight his hypocrisy, you make sure that only the people WHO ALREADY KNEW he was a hypocrite will see it.
