public drinking fountains and pay phones anymore. SO - if these lazy-assed "homeless" would just get a job or, or, or just go away - problem solved! Whatcha wanna bet, darling Kelly has her own personal potty adjacent to her office?

How long before we see refugee camps for America's homeless? That's where this country is headed. There's gobs of "flyover" acreage that could be used for them to live on. Provide tents, shovels (for digging their own toilets) and dumpster contents for them to live off of.

Here in this blood red district of California, homeless camps spring up just outside the city line - some even with the landowner's blessings. But let there be 4 or 5 tents and a fairly cohesive community of the disenfranchised start to band together and here come the county law enforcers to disperse (and offer refuge in some church-based shelter) the residents to "someplace else". Anywhere but where their visibility smears the facade of a thriving community.

I keep asking myself: Where ARE our supposed representatives on the subject of poverty? There's only been a couple of public servants who've even DARED to utter the word "poor" - let alone propose REAL fixes for poverty. Of course, being poor keeps one from "buying" into the "systems" of representation. So, poor they will remain.
