89. What is good for Cronin is probably bad for Pierotti!

Typically when the FBI finds wrong doing they offer options other than indictments and trial. They let banks, big wall street types and unions setup some kind of merger to close down the bad operations. That has to be what is going on here with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Pierotti is trying to cut a deal and close down the FPD of DC. And if he closes it early before the FBI presents their case to a grand jury etc. he will protect his legacy since he is retiring.

Cronin is smart and smells a bad deal with the proposed merger with the FPD of DC. Expect Cronin to run for higher office soon based on his verbage when you hear him talk about the DuPage County budget, etc. He won't get close to the corrupt operations of the FPD of DC!
