I will agree with you on one level. Personal responsibility is critical. Ultimately, it’s a huge part of successful, sustained addiction recovery. However, if “just say no” was a real way to deal with the realities of the physiology and psychology of addiction, Nancy Reagan would have wiped out drug and alcohol abuse in my lifetime.
