7. He wants to be an officer in the new regime, post-America America, after the 2020 election.

I never thought I'd believe the Republicans were actively seeking to undermine the Constitution and overtly change the Republic into a Kleptocracy -- in which they give concessions outright to our heretofore enemies (Russia and China) in exchange for the unrestricted power to pillage the nation, strip bare its natural resources, and prepare for themselves a soft, luxurious landing out of the reach of the people (us!) they ruined.

He and his dishonorable brothers are in it for themselves. When that kind of vile ambition is shown so clearly by a punk like Gaetz -- his resting face is his tell -- and he nevertheless gets re-elected by people who I had always assumed knew better ("Fool me once, shame on you . . ." sort of thing -- but he fools them again and again) it makes me wonder how America has survived this long when so many of its citizens actually support and seem to admire the spiritual leeches who so gleefully suck the very life force out of them and the country they profess to love.

If we fail to destroy this unprincipled, greedy, vicious regime in November, we are all screwed and will be well advised to read Dick's "Man in the High Tower" as a prophecy of what the future holds for us. (No, not the Nazi part -- but the willingness of the people to kowtow to a despot and turn away from what was once most precious to them as citizens of a free country.)
