That short doesn't really take sides, which is good.

Fundamentalism is now so out of step with the modern world that, what once may have been useful or important has now become obsolete. They just don't seem to know or understand that and their tradition means a lot to them. As was pointed out, they really don't even have much connection via electronics with the "new world" of cell phones and Internet. So, they rely on God as they would have 300 or 1000-years ago, even though there are new ways to deal with a pandemic. I understand and it is rather sad.

They are trying to be traditional and, fundamentally isolated, appears. That's hard these days and maybe it should be obsolete, but I it is a debatable issue.

Here, we see also, that there are some real problems for society when it comes to fundamentalism and that, Evangelicals, for example, have little respect or regard for democracy as far as their beliefs and impositions would affect us all. They are also showing a similar lack of understanding about the pandemic and behaving in traditional, yet obsolete ways. Yet, we are all affected.

So, we see another problem facing us all as this crisis sweeps through the populations of the world. It is not one of religion, per se, but the negative impact of fundamentalism for both believers and the secular world. That needs to be addressed.
