In reply to the discussion: McCain Blasts Hannity: "You Were Wrong!" [View all]JohnnyRingo
(20,933 posts)When someone listens to AM radio (I think) they know it's opinion, but Hannity masquerades as news. It's sad when I hear someone making statements I know they heard on "Hannity's America" because they think they have facts and seem completely surprised, even in disbelief there's an alternate universe where events played out differently.
I'll never forget, when he still employed Alan Colmes and the second round of Bush tax cuts were on the table. For two solid weeks, Hannity pounded home the statement that: "93 million taxpayers would see a $1500 discount on their taxes". Though others like Colmes and Robert Reich would correct him each time by pointing out he was citing an average figure that left little for the middle earners, Hannity would pick up again the next day as if he was either deaf or amnesiac.
It wasn't long before the show became a solo act with no distractions from his focus to deceive the willing public. I hope he rots in Hell.
on edit:
I'm guessing John McCain will now go the way of Alan Colmes and not be invited back. Did you notice in the video when Hannity was told he was wrong, he simply interjected that he wasn't? That's Hannity's America.
