I'm leaving my present employment and relocating. Some are confused by my moving from one area where COVID hasn't had a tremendous presence, at least that gets reported to another that's been hit hard all along.
It's MF's that Brent is making fun of that are the exact reason I'm gittin' outta here while the gittin' is good. I can't shop locally without having some coughing maskless idiot or two, or five... or even the whole damn store spreading their flora everywhere. Yesterday, I thought I'd only take a quick run through the local enroute convenience store for some ice cream. But approaching the register, there were three maskless idiots in line, being checked out by a maskless clerk!!!. The ice cream went right back to the freezer case and I exited, for good. Here's the irony of this: I've been driving nearly 100 miles round trip to the more COVID presence county to shop. The stores have two security guards enforcing mask wear. Staff are busy with disinfectant all over the store there, all the time. The little vietnamese place with such good chicken pho brings your order to your car fully masked, all employees attentive to the troubles. I see no one defying social distancing nor mask requirement guidelines... they are paying fucking attention to this seriously there en masse.
So the country-fried MF's here are only now beginning to show up sick in great numbers. The next month or so will be interesting to watch the karmic fate unfold here.
The delusional state of "ha-ha, we escaped the pandemic" complacency here is only beginning to get the smackdown.
