As a native Georgian, I can attest to the fact that we have always ridiculed Florida (with some good reason). It’s an OK place to visit, but it’s a horrible place to live. Georgia didn’t want it. Spain was happy to let it go.

Imagine roaches the size of an avacado, then imagine thousands of them in your house. Imagine mosquitoes the size of a dime biting you, alligators in your pool, legions of poisonous snakes, oppressive heat and humidity, hurricanes, and outrageous insurance prices. Add to that Republican government, and you’ve got Florida.
