1. So, this has been a family tradition since I was 4.

We would gather at grandmother's table, say the prayer, and then my uncle would put on the record. We did this for the entire time we held our Thanksgiving family meal. My grandmother was adamant that we play it (once she heard it... I remember that first time though. She was a bit reserved, but when Arlo said, "FATHER RAPERS!", she fell on the floor (metaphorically speaking of course). Since that time we played it every single Thanksgiving once we started the meal.

(Side Note: my beloved mate cannot stand the song and cringes every single Thanksgiving because he knows it is coming. Doesn't matter, I play it anyway. He can get over it. To his credit, he never stops me... he just complains a bit when the time is getting near... heh)
