They want to demolish Earth, so how much easier -- and cheaper -- would it be for them to sow the seeds of these ludicours conspiracy theories among the easily-led, hard-of-thinking masses? Rather than launching planet-destroying artillery? Especially with SO many gullible Earthlings!
