given to his crooked family without yet any charges brought against them, that such moves would trigger legitimate questions about "what" particular crimes exactly would they "need" to get pardoned for--pardons without even any official charges "yet" (???): Then "pardoned for what exactly" would become a national question that the DOJ under the Biden/Harris administration could not evade or pretend to ignore (turning the page, look forward--would not satisfy the public and look fishy).
