You can see that the turbine core is intact and continues to windmill. This probably wouldn't happen if it was a turbine blade failure, as it would most likely take out the core. The burning part looks like the vents for the reverse thrust ducts, which may have been ignited during the failure. Not a good day, but it looks like it failed in a controlled manner, which is what it's designed to do.
