Florida has got to be the most fucked up state in this country, which is really nothing new for them. It's always been a boom and bust real estate market that has drawn shady developers from all over the country. The main thing it's got going for it these days is a good PR department. Overdevelopment has destroyed most of the natural beauty it once had.

I don't know what happens to people when they move down there to make them turn into Republicans, I've often speculated that the hot sun and sauna like humidity fries their brains.

Funny thing, I was born there. My parents left when I was a baby and retired there after I was long gone. My dad thought it was where good people go when they die. My mother said she loved to see those huge condos going up because they'd make Florida sink just that much faster. I think she had more of a point than he did.
