...of how Republicans leverage divisive “cultural” issues, i.e., racism, to get Republican voters to vote for policies that primarily benefit the 1 percent and harm Trump’s voters.

However, the Lecture also provides a great explanation of why Ted Cruz, DeSantis, Rubio and other would-be 2024 candidates are looking to adopt Trump’s focus on stirring up hate.

Protecting the rich is not a great slogan. This is why Republicans keep on doubling down on creating division in the US.
