That's it.

They sit down and look at the fictional bubble they have created and make sure any events can be explained or solved by the narrow parameters within that bubble.

In this case, the "Obama is bad for jobs" is linked to the "Obama is a liar" parameter and details don't matter. When pressed on details just claim the person asking is the enemy.
