She was screaming, and that was eventually going to attract attention.

When my daughter was little, I used to tell her that if any stranger ever tried to take her somewhere she didn't want to go, she should kick and flail like crazy and scream her lungs out. Basically make as much noise and
commotion as possible. She never had to make use of that advice (fortunately), but I still stand by it, especially after seeing this.
